Tarot for Decision Making

If you’re like me, making decisions can be, well… fucking hard! Thankfully, we witches have our trust tarot cards to help guide us along the way. Here are 3 of my fave techniques to use tarot to help guide your decision making!

Yes / No Cards: The simplest technique. Each tarot card has an inherent “yes” or “no” attached to it. Ask your question, and pull a card. Some cards are an obvious yes (The Lovers, 4 of Wands, The Star) and some are an obvious no (3 of Swords, The Devil, 5 of Pentacles). Some cards may be a bit more ambiguous (7 of Cups, 2 of Wands, Judgement)- with those it’s best to use your intuition or pull a clarifying card.

If you’re unsure if your card is a “yes” or “no,” take some time to connect with the card and study its imagery to listen to what your inner voice says before you turn to our pal google :)

Look at Outcomes for Each Choice: This is my favourite way to go about decision making. Pull cards for each outcome of your decision. Ask your deck, “what would my life look like if I did X?” This can give you insight into both positive outcomes and potential obstacles for each path, helping you make the most aligned decision.

Use the Major Arcana: Think about which major arcana card best associates with the decision you’re making. For example, if it’s about your relationship, The Lovers, or if it’s about career, maybe The Chariot or The Star. Shuffle your deck until it feels right to you, then look through it to find your major arcana card. Look at 3 cards that come after it to see what the potential out come of your choice would be. If you’re unsure of which major arcana card to choose, The Fool, which represents new beginnings, is always a good choice!

Happy decision making, babes.
